On 6 June 2014 the Polish European Community Studies Association (PECSA) in cooperation with Collegium of Socio-Economics of the Warsaw School of Economics, Jean Monnet Chair of European Union and Konrad Adenauer Stiftung in Poland organized 1st European Seminar “The Importance of National Delegations in the European Parliament”. The bilingual Polish-German Seminar was held at Warsaw School of Economics and begun with speeches by Prof. Ewa Latoszek (chairwoman of PECSA and head of Jean Monnet Chair of European Union), Prof. Joachim Osiński (Dean of Collegium of Socio-Economics) and Dr Chrisitan Schmitz (Director of Konrad Adenauer Stiftung in Poland). Guest invited to participate in the debate included: dr Jacek Saryusz-Wolski MEP, Ms. Agnieszka Pomaska, MP (Head of the Parliamentary Committee on the European Union), dr Maria Elisabeth Rotter (adviser to the Committee on the European Union of the German Bundestag), Prof. Zbigniew Czachór (Head of Department of European Integration Research, Faculty of Political Science and Journalism, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań), dr Wojciech Gagatek (assistant professor at Center for Europe, University of Warsaw).
